Shaligram Bhagwaan - Shivling Shaligram (Original from Gandak River, Nepal):

Shaligram is a black coloured stone brought from Gandaki river in Nepal. It is most revered stone worshipped by Vishnu and shiva Bhakts.

This is a shivling Shaligram. This shaligram represents Lord Vishnu as shaligram and Mahadev in shivling form like structure inside the shaligram. This is a set of two half pieces and on removing the two halves separately you can see shivling like structure made naturally over thousands of years.

It is considered that Shaligram stones were formed millions of years ago when Himalayas were still the ocean's floor.

They are worshipped in temples and families all over the world, as they are considered to be the visual representation of God Vishnu. It is highly auspicious to worship Shaligram ji in religious functions like Satyanarayan Puja, house warming (Griha Pravesh),marriages and other pujas and holy occasions.
