Each metal color is shown in the photos. Choose your center weight and metal from the options on this page.

Signora Jewels keeps the 11.0 × 5.8 mm marquise completely alone at the center. Six prongs hold the photographed 1.50 ct diamond, including dedicated protection at both pointed ends, while the polished shank sweeps toward the stone from opposite directions instead of meeting it in a straight line.

The lower band measures approximately 2.20 mm wide and 1.85 mm thick. Near the diamond, the shoulders broaden to about 3.10 mm and curve past one another, leaving open space around the setting. At approximately 6.70 mm high, the reference head stays relatively close to the sweeping shank.

Design highlights

  • Marquise Old European center measuring approximately 11.0 × 5.8 mm at 1.50 ct
  • Six-prong setting with dedicated protection at both marquise tips
  • Asymmetrical bypass shank sweeping around the center from opposite sides
  • No accent diamonds, keeping the center and polished metalwork visually separate
  • Approx. 3.10 mm shoulders tapering to a 2.20 mm lower band
  • Approx. 6.70 mm setting height at the photographed center weight

The bypass is the whole point of this design. One shoulder rises toward the upper half of the marquise while the other sweeps beneath it, so the diamond looks caught between two moving lines rather than mounted on top of a conventional straight shank. About Lab Grown Diamonds

The Marquise Old European center stretches its 1.50 ct reference weight across an approximately 11.0 × 5.8 mm outline. Its pointed ends make tip protection especially important, which is why this setting places prongs at both ends in addition to the side contact points.

Metal, Care & Fit

The photographed construction uses approximately 5.00 g of 18K gold before the diamond is set. Yellow and rose gold make the sweeping bypass lines stand apart from the center; white gold and platinum keep the transition from diamond to setting closer in tone. Clean beneath the open center with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, and inspect the tip prongs after a hard impact.

FAQ

How does the bypass band sit around the marquise?
The two shoulders approach the center asymmetrically rather than meeting beneath it in a straight line. They broaden to approximately 3.10 mm near the setting and sweep around opposite sides of the marquise.

How are the pointed ends of this marquise protected?
The six-prong setting places dedicated prongs at both pointed ends of the diamond. Four additional contact points support the long sides of the 11.0 × 5.8 mm reference center.

How high does the 1.50 ct reference setting sit?
The photographed setting is approximately 6.70 mm high. Its head sits close to the curved bypass shoulders instead of being lifted on a tall cathedral structure.

Can this bypass ring sit flush beside a straight wedding band?
A straight band is unlikely to follow the asymmetrical shoulders perfectly. The shank sweeps toward the center from opposite directions, so a narrow contour band is the better match when a close visual fit is wanted.

How should the open bypass area be cleaned?
Use warm water, mild soap and a soft brush around both sweeping shoulders and beneath the center. The open construction gives direct access behind the diamond, where lotion and soap residue can collect.
